Artiste franco-canadienne de l’ouest, Élodie Orsei s’épanouit dans une musique pop-soul douce, sensuelle et juteuse, aux influences des artistes francophones mondiaux. C’est avec puissance et douceur que ses textes explorent l’amour, la famille et la quête éternelle de se retrouver.
Elle sort un premier EP French Toast, à l’automne 2022, où délices gastronomiques et délices amoureux s’entremêlent; des métaphores parfaites pour une artiste aux racines francophones.
Suite à ses nominations au Trille Or 2023 dans les catégories Découverte et Coup de cœur du public, Élodie est invitée à jouer pour Sofar Sounds Kelowna en janvier 2024. En mars de la même année, elle est invité à l'émission québécoise Belle et Bum.
En juin 2024, elle sort un 2e EP intitulé Fleurish, croisement entre le mot français Fleur et le mot anglais Flourish. Élodie a toujours voulu créer un projet autour du thème de l'épanouissement, et après deux ans de réflexion, Fleurish s'est imposé comme le titre parfait, reflétant sa double identité francophone et anglophone. La chanson titre, Fleur, puise dans l'afro-soul pour créer une ambiance douce et groovy, une ode à l'amour et à l'acceptation de soi. Dédiée à sa mère et sa grand-mère, Fleur explore la beauté de l'héritage familial et corporel.
Fière de son identité francophone, Élodie Orsei tisse le français et l'anglais dans ses textes, partageant ainsi sa culture et sa vision du monde unique. "Avec deux langues, il y a deux fois plus de culture à partager, c’est la fête!", affirme-t-elle.
Ses derniers spectacles incluent Contact Ouest 2024 , Sofar Sounds, L'atelier culturel de Radio-Canada et Belle et Bum, la première partie de Beauséjour au Coup de Coeur Francophone, Let’s Hear it LIVE! BC JUNOS, et le Festival New Leaves de Kelowna.
Nommée demi-finaliste au Festival International de la chanson de Granby (FICG), elle sera en vitrine en août 2025 à Granby puis en vitrine à Contact Ouest 2025 à l’automne
A French-Canadian artist from the West, Élodie Orsei offers a soft pop-soul music, sensual and juicy, with influences from French-speaking artists around the world. It is with power and gentleness that her lyrics explore love and the eternal quest to find oneself. Warm and poetic, her performance offers a cozy atmosphere perfect for warming up the heart.
In the fall of 2022, Élodie releases her first EP French Toast, where sweet and savoury talk of romantic delights; cute food metaphors for an artist with French-speaking roots.
Following her nominations at the 2023 Trille Or Awards in the emerging artist and public choice categories, Élodie is invited to play for Sofar Sounds Kelowna in early 2024. In March of the same year, she makes her way to Montréal to perform on the hit Quebec show Belle et Bum.
In June 2024, Élodie released a 2nd EP entitled Fleurish, a cross between the French word Fleur and the English word Flourish. Having always wanted to create a project around the theme of growth and fulfillment, Fleurish emerged as the perfect title, reflecting her language identity duality. The title track, Fleur, draws on Afro-soul and bedroom pop to create a soft and groovy atmosphere, an ode to love and self-acceptance. Dedicated to her mother and grandmother, Fleur explores the beauty of family and heritage.
Proud of her Francophone identity, Élodie Orsei weaves French and English into her lyrics, sharing her culture and unique worldview. "With two languages, there's twice as much life to share, it's a party!", she says.
Her latest shows include Contact Ouest, Sofar Sounds, L'atelier culturel de Radio-Canada, and Belle et Bum. Élodie also performed as an opener for the festival Coup de Coeur Francophone as well as the New leaves festival to close off the 2024 season.
Selected as a semi-finalist for the International Song Festival of Granby (FICG) she will be on stage in August and again at Contact Ouest in the fall.
